Zervio PH Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 1, 2026
1. About this policy
Zervio PH (“Zervio”, “we”, “us”) runs a free local job marketplace in the Philippines. Customers post jobs, and Workers offer their services and place bids. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices and rights you have under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). By creating an account or using Zervio, you confirm that you have read this policy.
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at Contact@zervioapp.com.
2. Information we collect
Account information
- First name (Workers may also add a last name), email address, and password. Your password is handled by our sign-in system and is never shown to other users.
- A one-time code sent to your email to verify your account, and email links to reset your password.
Contact number
- Workers provide a contact number when signing up. Customers provide one when posting a job. A Worker’s contact number is also attached to the bids that Worker submits.
Location (entered by you, not GPS)
- Province and city or municipality (chosen from lists) and barangay (typed in). Workers enter these on their profile, and Customers enter them when posting a job. We use these to show nearby workers and jobs. We do not collect your precise device location.
Worker profile
- Profile picture, services and sub-categories, skills, short bio, a longer About section, and up to five portfolio photos of your work.
Jobs, bids, and reviews
- Job title, description, category, and location.
- Bids, including the amount and your message.
- Reviews, including a star rating, written review, and up to five photos.
Activity records
- When a Customer taps Call on a Worker’s card, we record that interaction (who tapped Call and, where applicable, the related job). We use it to notify the Worker and to let the Customer leave a review. The phone call itself happens through your phone and is not recorded by Zervio.
Photos
- With your permission, the app can access your photo library or camera so you can upload pictures. You can turn this off at any time in your device settings.
Notifications and device data
- In-app notifications and, if push notifications are available in your version of the app and you allow them, a device token so we can send them.
- Usage and device data collected automatically by our app platform, Base44. On the web version, this includes analytics such as IP address, device type, operating system, approximate location (such as country), pages viewed, how long visits last, and how visitors found the app. In the installed app, the platform may record sign-in and page-visit events in its logs. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking tools.
What we do not collect
- We do not process payments in the app, so we do not collect card or bank details. Payment is arranged directly between users.
3. What other users can see
- Job posts are visible to other users, including the job details, category, city and barangay, your first name, and a username (the part of your email address before the @).
- The contact number on a job post is used so interested Workers can reach you about that job.
- Bids are private. Only the Customer who posted the job sees each bid’s details (bidder, amount, message, and contact number). Everyone else sees only the number of bids.
- Worker profiles are visible to other users: name, profile picture, province, city and barangay, services, skills, bio, About section, portfolio photos, and reviews.
- A Worker’s contact number is used by the Call button so Customers can call the Worker, and it is shared with a Customer who receives the Worker’s bid.
- Reviews appear on the Worker’s profile and show the reviewer’s first name and last initial.
- Anything you post for others to see can be viewed by other users, so please avoid including sensitive personal details in photos, bios, job descriptions, or reviews.
4. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account, and to verify your email address.
- To show you nearby workers and jobs, and to match jobs with Workers’ services.
- To let Customers post jobs, let Workers bid, and let users contact each other.
- To send notifications such as new bids, job matches, and when a Customer taps Call.
- To allow reviews and ratings after a Customer has tapped Call.
- To keep Zervio safe, including moderating content and preventing fraud and misuse.
- To understand how the app is used, fix problems, maintain, and improve it.
- To comply with the law.
We do not send marketing text messages. We send service emails only, such as verification codes and password resets. If we ever send marketing messages, we will ask for your consent first.
5. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data based on your consent, to provide the service you signed up for, to meet legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in keeping Zervio secure and working properly. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account, though this means we can no longer provide the service to you.
6. Who we share it with
- Service providers. Our app platform, Base44, which provides hosting, database, sign-in, and file storage. Providers that help us send emails and notifications, including Apple Push Notification service for iPhone and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for Android, if push notifications are available in your version of the app and you allow them. They may only use your data to provide services to us.
- Other users, as described in Section 3.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect the safety and rights of users or the public.
- A new owner, if Zervio is merged with or transferred to another business. We will tell you before your data becomes subject to a different policy.
We do not sell your personal data.
7. International transfers
Our service providers may store or process data on servers outside the Philippines. Where this happens, we use providers that protect your data with appropriate safeguards consistent with the Data Privacy Act.
8. Security
We use reasonable organizational, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal data. For example, private details such as a bidder’s contact number are restricted on the server so that only the Customer who posted the job can see them. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active so Zervio works for you.
You can delete your account at any time in the app by going to Profile & Settings, then Manage Account, then Delete Account, and confirming. You can also request deletion by email at Contact@zervioapp.com from the email address on your account. When your account is deleted, we remove your profile, photos, jobs, bids, and reviews from our active systems. Copies in backups are removed as backups are replaced in the normal cycle.
We may keep limited information longer when the law requires it, or to handle disputes, fraud, or security issues. This includes records of reports and blocks, which we keep to protect users and enforce our rules. Usage and security logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
10. Your rights under the Data Privacy Act
You have the right to:
- Be informed about how your personal data is processed.
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or outdated data. You can edit most of your information directly in your profile.
- Object to certain processing, or withdraw your consent.
- Request erasure or blocking of your personal data.
- Receive a copy of your data in a commonly used format (data portability).
- Claim compensation for damages caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or unlawfully obtained data.
- File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
To use these rights, edit your profile in the app, delete your account as described in Section 9, or email Contact@zervioapp.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
11. Age requirement
Zervio is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Cookies and similar technologies
On the web version, we use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in (including the “Remember me” option) and to remember your choices, such as light or dark theme. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
13. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect, and update the “Last updated” date above. Minor corrections take effect when posted on this page.
